We have been down in the big deep and are now at the surface to get some air. A new record is taking form and will be released within 2007. Hopefully September, but we will keep you posted. June 11, 2005 - Copenhagen Jazzhouse
Jogujo Circuit concluded the little Denmark summer-tour with an intense and special night at Copenhagen Jazzhouse, the biggest venue for jazz and improvised-music in the Danish capital. Once again, the concert was captured on film, and the band is looking forward to seeing the results of it. The big and very international audience that showed up this evening, got their moneys worth, with the band playing at their best, accompanied by great sound and tasteful light-setting. Big hugs to Mik Neumann and Michael Østerz!

Jogujo Circuit presented both new material and modified versions of the songs from the album "close up magic", leaving the audiences at Sun Ship and Studenterhuset breathless. With his wild-seed lyricism and kamikaze-electronics, the secret guest of both nights, Jeppe Kjellberg, was a fountain of energy as Jogujo Circuit moved through unknown territory. It was two truly unique evenings, with heroic efforts and unexpected beauty; unfortunately only partially recorded. Many thank's to Rasmus Telling, all the Sun Ship people, to Sune Petersen, the beautiful crew at Studenterhuset, and Maria@1000fryd, for your dedication and enthusiasm.

May 20, 2005 - M/S Stubnitz - CPH
In the company of established stars Marilyn Mazur and John Tchicai, young Norwegian mountain-lions Motif and the electrifying groove-masters Booty Cologne, Jogujo Circuit played the 'Future Sound of Jazz' festival in Copenhagen.
The old German fishing-boat, M/S Stubnitz, once used for herring, now built into an incredible music-club, made a suitable arena for the event. A cool rustic atmosphere, a well balanced blend of trendy hip-ness and warm kitsch, and a lot of happy people.

Thank's so much to the Stubnitz Crew, Copenhagen Jazzfestival and Jazz Club Loco for a great initiative and good work!

Our well-reviewed album "close up magic" is now launched in Japan by Ward Records in Tokyo. In addition to the 9 tracks from the original "close up magic" album, the Japanese edition contains the bonus-track “Tokyo” and is released with a Japanese cover.

jogujo circuit rounded off this spring/summer playing at Kraftwerk, the powerstation of a shutdown mine in Sweden. A fine conclusion to a series of concerts, which has brought the trio to clubs and festivals in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. What better place for celebrating than the spectacular scenery of the Norberg Festival, together with dedicated musicians, video-artists, DJZs and electronic music enthusiasts from all over Scandinavia and beyond. To be in the same program with such "big-league-names" as Fennesz (Aut), Phillip Jeck (UK), Luke Vibert (UK), Pole (DE), has set a new standard for us, but we think we will be able to get used to it.... :) Thanks to Michael Østerz for inviting us, and to Henrik Sundh for joining in with his magic keys!

Once again jogujo circuit played a crowded house at Copenhagen club Rust. People refused to stop dancing, not even giving in to the trickiest rhythms, as Bjørn Ross supplied sneaky visuals and lights. Knut Finsrud joined in on drums, lifting the bands energy to a new level, making it the most energetic concert so far, both on stage and in the audience.

SPOT10 in Århus hosted around 50 concerts in two days, introducing the European music business to both “up and coming” and more established Danish, Norwegian and Swedish names within a variety of pop, rock, jazz and electronic music. jogujo circuit and Tys Tys were both presented by the Danish Jazz Association and were welcomed by an ecstatic young audience who were eager to buy CDs and get autographs after the concert. The professional sound- and light-crew created optimal conditions for jogujo circuit´s sometimes subtle and fragile music that left critics and audience stunned. Several offers were made from interested festival-arrangers after the show, and there will hopefully be more details about this soon. (We might be going to Japan!...)

As a warm-up for the important SPOT10 festival jogujo circuit joined Autofant and Stern for a triple-concert at the gallery Bürå21, in Malmø, Sweden. The minimal interior and cool vibe of the gallery was a rich contrast to the lively, warm electronic sounds of the three bands. After this, their debut-concert in Sweden, jogujo circuit received an enthusiastic response from both audience and gallery-owners and hope to be going back soon. Thanks to Autofant and Stern for inviting us!

jogujo circuit played the “what is jazz” festival at the legendary Copenhagen venue, Loppen, sharing stage with what is said to be “the hottest names” on the Danish jazz/electronica scene. In between the concerts DJs Katrine Ring and Michael Reinboth (D) played some pumpin tracks, making the electric atmosphere of the festival complete. Thanks to everyone for listening and for buying our record! Another big thank you to the Copenhagen Jazzgang for a great initiative!

The 27th. of March jogujo circuit played the “Ungjazz Reykjavik” festival in Iceland and the spectacular scenery and intimate vibe of the city was a truly inspiring experience.
Knut Finsrud (also appearing on 'close up magic'), did a good job on drums/livesampling, substituting for Jon Meinild.
jogujo circuit was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic and listening audience at the fashionable venue Hotel Borg, and just as after the by:Larm-concert in Bergen, CDs were in demand. Shortly after coming back to Copenhagen, the first Icelandic fan-mail entered the jogujo inbox, and the band hopes to be going back soon.

ALSO: In addition to distribution through GDC in Denmark and Jazzcuisine in Germany, the record is now being distributed in Norway by Musikklosen and Japan by Disc Union. The Orchard in the USA has made an offer including both internet and physical distribution in “the states”. The last details of this deal is being agreed some time in the near future.

Our debut album "close up magic" is now released!
The official release on the 3rd of december 2003 at Rust was a very special night.
Starting at 9 p.m. there was refreshments and a jogujocircuit live-special, where we played a set of songs from the album, one of them with DJ Rasmus Schack as guest star!
